RENT STARLINK MINI – RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Rental Terms & Conditions apply to all Starlink Mini equipment rented through TECHNAUTIQ. By placing a rental order, the customer agrees to the following terms.

1. Rental Equipment

The rental package may include:

  • Starlink Mini terminal
  • Power supply and/or power cable
  • Starlink Mini kickstand
  • Protective carrying case or packaging
  • Additional accessories specifically listed in the rental order

The exact contents of the rental package are specified on the product page and/or order confirmation.

All equipment remains the property of TECHNAUTIQ throughout the rental period.

2. Starlink Service & Data Plan

Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the product page, the rental price covers the equipment only.

The availability of Starlink connectivity, data allowance and service activation depends on the rental option purchased.

Where a Starlink service plan is included, any applicable data allowance, fair-use limitation or geographical restriction will be specified at the time of booking.

Additional data consumption or service charges outside the included allowance may be charged separately when applicable.

Starlink services are provided through the Starlink satellite network and remain subject to Starlink’s own service availability, network capacity, coverage, technical limitations and applicable terms.

TECHNAUTIQ cannot guarantee uninterrupted Internet access, a specific download/upload speed, latency or availability at every location.

3. Rental Period

The rental period begins on the date indicated in the order.

Available rental periods may include:

  • Weekly rental
  • Two-week rental
  • Monthly rental
  • Custom rental periods

The equipment must be returned no later than the agreed return date.

Customers wishing to extend their rental must contact TECHNAUTIQ before the original return date. Extensions are subject to availability and additional rental charges.

4. Delivery

Starlink Mini rental equipment is currently shipped to selected European countries only.

Available destinations and applicable shipping charges are displayed or confirmed during the ordering process.

The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for being available to receive the shipment.

Delivery times provided by TECHNAUTIQ or the carrier are estimates unless expressly guaranteed.

5. Return Shipping

Where the rental package includes prepaid return shipping, TECHNAUTIQ may provide a return shipping label with the equipment or electronically.

The customer must:

  1. Repack all equipment securely in the supplied packaging.
  2. Include all cables, power supplies, stands and accessories.
  3. Attach the supplied return label correctly.
  4. Deliver the parcel to the designated carrier or collection point within the required return period.
  5. Retain proof of shipment until the return has been confirmed.

A prepaid return label may only be used from the country for which it was issued unless TECHNAUTIQ has agreed otherwise.

6. Late Returns

Equipment returned after the agreed rental period may be subject to additional rental charges.

If the customer needs additional time, they should request an extension before the scheduled return date.

If equipment is not returned and the customer cannot be contacted, TECHNAUTIQ reserves the right to charge the customer for additional rental time and, where appropriate, the replacement value of the unreturned equipment, subject to applicable law.

7. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required before shipment.

The amount, where applicable, will be displayed during the booking process.

The deposit may be used, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to cover:

  • Missing equipment or accessories
  • Damage beyond normal wear and tear
  • Unreturned equipment
  • Replacement of lost equipment
  • Exceptional cleaning or repair costs
  • Other amounts properly due under the rental agreement

Any remaining deposit balance will be released or refunded following inspection of the returned equipment.

8. Customer Responsibility

From delivery until confirmed return, the customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the equipment.

The customer must not:

  • Open or dismantle the Starlink Mini
  • Modify the equipment
  • Attempt unauthorised repairs
  • Remove identification or serial-number labels
  • Sub-rent or resell the equipment
  • Use the equipment for unlawful purposes
  • Deliberately expose the equipment to conditions outside the manufacturer’s specifications

The equipment should be installed and operated according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

9. Loss, Theft or Damage

The customer must notify TECHNAUTIQ as soon as reasonably possible if the equipment is lost, stolen or seriously damaged.

Normal wear resulting from proper use is not considered damage.

Where loss or damage results from misuse, negligence, unauthorised modification or failure to return the equipment, reasonable repair or replacement costs may be charged, subject to applicable consumer law.

In the event of theft, TECHNAUTIQ may request a copy of the relevant police report.

10. Outdoor, Marine & Mobile Use

Starlink Mini is designed for portable connectivity, but customers remain responsible for choosing a safe installation location.

When used aboard a boat, yacht, motorhome, vehicle, campsite or temporary installation, the customer must ensure that the terminal and its cables are securely positioned.

The equipment must not create a navigation, driving, electrical or safety hazard.

Any maritime or mobile use must also comply with applicable regulations and the service conditions associated with the activated Starlink plan.

11. Coverage & Performance

Satellite Internet performance can be affected by:

  • Obstructions such as buildings, trees, masts or terrain
  • Satellite visibility
  • Weather conditions
  • Network congestion
  • Geographical location
  • Local regulations
  • Starlink network availability
  • The service plan associated with the terminal

For this reason, TECHNAUTIQ does not guarantee a specific connection speed or uninterrupted service.

12. Prohibited Use

The customer must use the equipment and connectivity service lawfully.

The customer is responsible for activity performed through the rented connection and must not knowingly use it for illegal activities, network attacks, unauthorised access, copyright infringement or any activity prohibited by applicable law or the relevant Starlink service terms.

13. Cancellation

Cancellation rights depend on the timing of the booking, dispatch of the equipment, commencement of the rental service and applicable consumer protection legislation.

Nothing in these Rental Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any mandatory consumer right provided under French or European Union law.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, it will be handled in accordance with the applicable legislation and TECHNAUTIQ’s general Terms & Conditions of Sale.

14. Early Return

Returning the equipment before the scheduled end of the rental period does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund for unused rental days unless otherwise agreed by TECHNAUTIQ or required by applicable law.

15. Technical Support

TECHNAUTIQ may provide reasonable assistance with initial setup and basic troubleshooting.

Support does not constitute a guarantee of connectivity because satellite availability and network operation remain dependent on Starlink and environmental conditions.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TECHNAUTIQ cannot be held responsible for losses resulting solely from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including satellite network outages, service interruptions, coverage limitations or third-party telecommunications failures.

Starlink Mini should not be treated as the sole communication system for safety-critical or emergency operations.

For maritime, offshore, expedition or remote-area use, users should maintain appropriate alternative communication methods where safety requires them.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

17. Inspection After Return

All returned equipment may be inspected and tested.

TECHNAUTIQ will verify:

  • Starlink Mini terminal condition
  • Power supply and cables
  • Accessories
  • Packaging where applicable
  • General operating condition
  • Missing or damaged items

The security deposit, where applicable, will be released after inspection, less any properly documented amounts due under these Terms.

18. Applicable Law

These Rental Terms & Conditions are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules applicable to customers residing in another European Union country.

For consumer disputes, customers retain any rights and remedies provided by applicable French and EU consumer legislation.

19. Acceptance of Rental Terms

By completing a Starlink Mini rental order, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted:
